Sitting exams from overseas

To sit an exam overseas, you must email us or complete this form.

Conditions for sitting an exam overseas:

The nominated venue must be a reputable tertiary institution or government agency (e.g. Embassy) that offers invigilation/supervision as part of their normal business services.
The supervisor must be employed by the venue, be proficient in English and not be a relative, friend or colleague.
You will pay all costs associated with the examination venue, supervision, and the cost for the approved venue staff to return your exam paper to us by ‘signature required’ courier.
Your exam(s) will be on the date and time specified on our exam timetable, in your country’s local time. There is no need to calculate the time difference to NZ time.
Applications must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the exam week begins. Late applications may be declined.
